WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRAVERTINE PAVERS AND CONCRETE PAVERS?
Travertine pavers are 100% natural stones. Because of this they do cost more than concrete pavers, as you are paying for their rare, natural beauty. Concrete Pavers are made from cement and aggregate and air cured. They are less expensive because the materials that comprise cost less money themselves. Both travertine and concrete pavers come in a variety of colors. Travertine pavers are only 1 ¼” thick, whereas concrete pavers are 2 3/8″ – 3 1/8″ thick. We do have 1 1/4″ thin concrete pavers, but those are typically used just for remodels and not new pools.
Concrete pavers will fade in the sun over time, because they are dyed with color. This makes travertine more durable and longer lasting.
